Fuzzy Friday: Daisy, Ranger, and Chuck

Happy Fuzzy Fuzzy Friday everyone!!  Hope you had a great week and are excited for another wonderful weekend ahead.  When I returned home to my apartment last night I could hear Ray Charles singing America the Beautiful on the radio (which I leave on during the day for my dogs so they don’t get too lonely). As I sat there listening to him gently singing the song, a song I have heard countless times before, I experienced the same feeling I get every time I hear his rendition of the classic piece, a feeling of overwhelming pride and gratitude to be an American. The freedom we enjoy as Americans unfortunately comes at a price, the price of war, yet it seem as though after over a decade of fighting in the Middle East, we are finally welcoming all of our troops home.  There are very few things more touching then seeing children welcome their parents home after serving overseas however, pets, especially dog’s reactions to their owners return definitely run a close second.  So this week’s Fuzzy Friday Feature is a compilation of three of the most touching moments of dogs welcoming their owners home from the battle lines overseas.

Meet Daisy, Ranger, and Chuck, three fantastically loyal Fido’s who’s overwhelming joy and emotional reactions captured on camera after finally seeing their owners return home from serving overseas are guaranteed to have you reaching for your tissue box while claiming to “have something in your eye.”  Yes these three touching reunions will warm even the coldest of hearts.  First up is Daisy, a beautiful, brown eyed beagle, who according to her owner, U.S. Airman Amanda’s husband, “was still a puppy when she left and was full grown dog by the time she came back,” he said in an interview with the Huffington Post.  Although Amanda thought Daisy would be happy to see her, the reaction she received from the boisterous beagle was according to Amanda, “the best feeling in the world.”

Ranger’s reunion with his owner was a little more of a sneak attack as his owner and serviceman planned a little surprise for his sensational shepherd.  The soldier and his friend, who had been caring for the German Shepherd while he was away, decided to play a little prank on Ranger when he returned.  The friend, throwing one of the shepherd’s favorite toys as far as he could, sent Ranger chasing after it only to return to find his owner waiting for him on the porch.   As you can imagine, the surprised shepherd was not only overjoyed but overwhelmed with emotion, so much so he forgets to drop his toy before releasing a symphony of cries of joy to finally see his owner home again.

Last but certainly not least is Chuck, a boxer who’s reaction to being reunited with his owner is not only heartwarming but recently went viral on the internet after the video of his happy reunion was posted online with over 90 million views.  This was not Chucks first time welcoming back his US Army Soldier owner Nick from war but you would never have guessed it by the wiry, wiggly and wondrous welcome he unleashes on him.  Chuck, waiting patiently in the back of a truck wastes no time after spotting Nick who can be seen barely able to wrap his arms around the bouncing boxer as he receives one of the warmest welcomes a man could want.  Congratulations to Daisy, Ranger and Chuck, with you fantiscally fuzzy faces and fierce devotion to your servicemen overseas you have warmed the hearts of the millions who have watched your blissful reunions with your owners making you the best possible pick for the honor of this weeks FUZZY FRIDAY FEATURE!!  Be sure to check out all three reunion videos below and have a great weekend everyone!
