Last year for Easter I decided to try making small, Easter egg chocolates to bring to a party I was invited to and they were so much fun to make that I wanted to try something different this year. I stumbled upon a quick and easy fudge recipe online for Valentines Day Fudge Squares and decided to tweak it a little to make multi-colored Fudge Easter Eggs instead and I am so excited about how well they came out. This Easter Egg Fudge recipe is one of the easiest dessert recipes I have made for the holidays over the past few years and was also super fun to boot! Whether you are looking for something simple to whip up for a dinner party or an easy and fun dessert recipe that is kid friendly , these Fudge Easter Eggs will do the trick!
Ingredients:
2 Bags white chocolate chips
2 Tubs of pre-made frosting
Sprinkles
Jelly Beans
Additional Items:
Baking Pan
Wax Paper (or Pam)
Egg Shaped Cookie Cutter
Directions:
1-Melt white chocolate chips over low heat using a double boiler
2-After white chocolate chips are melted, stir in frosting
3-Divide frosting/chocolate mix into separate bowls to add food coloring (this can be as few or as many as you would like, I decided on pink, yellow, light green and then plain white)
4-Pour colored frosting/chocolate mix into baking pan, lined with wax paper, one color at a time
5-When finished pouring all the mixture into the pan, smooth out edges between colored sections
6-Add desired amount of sprinkles/jelly beans
7-Put the fudge in the fridge to set for a hour or more (I let mine set overnight)
8-Using an egg shaped cookie cutter, cut out Easter Egg shapes from cooled, multicolored fudge, being careful to push the eggs out of the cookie cutter gently with your fingers
9-Enjoy!
