Fuzzy Friday: Ratatouille and Truffles!

Ratatouille, The Snowboarding opossum and Truffles, the Guinness World Record leaping Guinea Pig!

Happy Fuzzy Friday!!! It’s been a pretty lovely spring week this week in NYC and I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend!! This week while taking a look at a few Fuzzy Friday contenders, I stumbled across some videos and images portraying animals participating in more “human” activities. From a snowboarding opossum to a long jumping guinea pig, these fantastically, fine, fuzzy friends were shredding snow and setting records with their awesome, athletic abilities. So I decided that the honor of this week’s Fuzzy Friday Feature should be shared between two furry fellows, whose extra curricular activities have been entertaining thousands online as we enjoy watching these two funny fuzz balls in action. So without further ado I give you Ratatouille the snowboarding opossum and Truffles, the Guinness Book of World Record setting Guinea Pig for the longest Guinea Pig leap.

Meet Ratatouille, an opossum who is pretty much like any other opossum you know, with the exception of course that Ratatouille loves to snowboard. Yup, this famously fuzzy friend’s love of the slopes may seem a little farfetched but funnily enough this Fuzzy Friday Feature can often be seen shredding up the snow on his board on Liberty Mountain, PA. It’s true this fantastically fuzzy opossum has the snowboarding fever, preferring to have his fun fearlessly fast-flying down the side of a mountain then spending time with his other furry opossum friends. With his funny, fuzzy face and fine-looking fashionable style, this snowboarding opossum slid his way into our hearts and also into the shared slot of this week’s Fuzzy Friday Feature.

The second fur ball whose fierce fuzziness put him front and center this week is Truffles, the long jumping Guinea Pig. This fine, furry, ball of fluff, flawlessly leapt his way into the Guinness Book of World Records proving once and for all that squirrels aren’t the only rodents who can fly. With his focused fuzzy face and steady furry feet Truffles jumped to his new found fame by beating the previous record for a Guinea Pig leap by 10cm. This fine fluffy Guinea Pig from Fife set the new record at a fantastic 30cm and I am sure you all agree that he is a perfect pick to share the honor of this week’s Fuzzy Friday Feature!
